Great amenities, absolutely perfect and marvellous setting.
Superb base for discovering Lewdown. Excellent breakfast, fantastic food. Comfy units with comfortable bed, very powerful shower plus a hairdryer, and affable stuff. Location not far from the pub and nature of staying above a pub. Also, delighted to stay again when in the area.

The room I had was cozy with lovely decor, bright enough to feel inviting. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. Dartmoor views added to the charm. Easy access to scenic walks. The lighting on the stairs was poor was nice, especially at night. Breakfast arrangements were unclear. I couldn't find out when it started, and it seemed like it might be an inconvenience. I had a great meal at a nearby pub instead, a lucky find. The atmosphere in the pub area felt lively with local patrons, but it could have benefited from more staff presence during busy times. Despite the hiccups, it had a nice community vibe.

Charming decor and inviting ambiance by the fireplace.
Sadly, I was very disappointed to find the pub closed when I arrived around 3:30 on a Sunday. There was no clear information regarding opening times or dining options, which left me without a meal or drink after my long journey. The lack of staff presence, especially since I was hoping to enjoy the local atmosphere and possibly order something to eat.

Cozy room with lovely decor. Clean bathroom adds a nice touch.
The lighting on the stairs could use improvement. It was quite dark. The pub was closed when I arrived, and I had no idea about breakfast times or menus, made dining plans tricky.
